In my last blog post, I wrote about the Wisdom Pearl that came out of an art-journal painting and channeled writing….how what we seek is not something we must become, but something already present, waiting to be revealed.
Not created. Not achieved. But uncovered from within the depths of Being itself. And then, in the quiet of my next art journal painting… Something Fun and unexpected appeared.
Colors moved across the page, soft washes of rose, coral, and gold— a form began to emerge. At first, it was barely distinguishable from the field around it…as if it were being born from the very same substance. Then I saw the face, a very clear face of a pig.
I have often laughingly said my “spirit animal” is a flying pig—a lighthearted way of naming the impossible as a way to suggest that sometimes, the things we assume could never happen, DO!
I knew what was taking shape on the page was my darling flying pig!!!!
Not imagined. Not planned. Revealed.
But this time, it wasn’t playful in the way I expected. It came with a message:
- Yes, I can because I am.
- I see possibility as reality.
This stopped me.
What if the impossible is not something we achieve…but something we finally allow ourselves to see?
I’ve been sitting with this question for a couple of weeks, allowing it to subtly, powerfully, shift my perception of reality.
Yes, I can because I am.
Not I can if I try hard enough. Not, I can if the conditions are right. But I can… because I am.
This profound knowing became even more clear to me: Being itself is not limited. What we are is not confined to the stories we’ve inherited or the identities we’ve outgrown. What we are is not confined to who we think we are.
I see possibility as reality.
What if possibility is not separate from reality, but a dimension of it we have not yet permitted ourselves to perceive
Just as the pearl is not created but coalesced into existence and revealed, perhaps what we call “impossible” is simply what has not yet been allowed to take form.
The flying pig, that long-standing symbol of “never”, arrived not to prove something could happen, but to gently dissolve the belief that it couldn’t.
It came as a reminder.
Within each of us there are images, visions, and knowings waiting beneath the surface— not to be forced into existence, but to be seen.
To be welcomed.
To be trusted.
Somewhere within, you have a flying pig too, or perhaps another symbol of what you once believed could never be. Just remember, you are the field from which all possibilities arise. When you remember this, even the impossible begins to take flight.
A Reflection Suggestion:
Take a moment…and listen within. What “impossible” idea, vision, or knowing have you quietly dismissed? And what might shift if you allowed yourself to see it as already real within the field of your Being?
