LOVE NOTE
Hello Bright Light,
I sent you my usual Monday Ezine today because I want to wish you a “Happy Summer Solstice” and it’s tomorrow!!!
There is something ancient in my Soul that loves to celebrate this cosmological event each year.
How about you? Do you celebrate Solstice?
When I first learned about the Solstices and the Equinoxes, it made perfect sense to consciously align with and celebrate these Cosmological events. I love thinking about the relationship dance between our Sun and Planet, the dance between light and darkness!
The “Summer Solstice” is the longest day and the shortest night! The 24 hours with the most LIGHT of the year!!!
At this point in my life, after many elaborate and FUN celebration rituals in years past, I’ve noticed a change in myself.
Nowadays, I feel called to simply tune in to the energy of the Solstice through contemplation and meditation. My plan for tomorrow is to experience the essence of Summer Solstice directly in my Body & Being and ask my Soul for guidance about the months ahead.
For those of you who are still in high celebration mode in your lives, here is a Solstice ritual that I just had share with you! This Solstice Ceremony is what I would do if I were called to create a physical ritual.
SUN WHEEL MANDALA: A SOLSTICE CEREMONY
Create a “Sun Wheel” or Mandala. These are symbols of the circle of life and connectedness with Earth. They can be large or small, made from flowers or other things found in nature, or from items you treasure around your home.
See what this beautiful maiden made in the photo below. Use your creation as the centerpiece of a ritual of your choice. You can set an intention, meditate, light a candle and make a wish, take a nap, or have a party, all with your creation at the center! At the end of your ritual, to symbolize the fulfillment of your creation, you can dissemble your centerpiece…until next year!
May your plan for tomorrow’s Solstice, whatever you decide it will be, bring you “LIGHT”!
