Dear Friends,
On Sunday, September 21st, an amazing gathering of supporters came together for a heart-centered fundraiser and celebration of the Autumn Equinox at the beautiful sanctuary where The Woman’s Rite was filmed—and what a soul-nourishing experience it was!
As promised in our invitation, we:
- Honored the turning of the season through ceremony and art.
- Shared a nourishing community potluck that bridged generations.
- Explored ways to support the next stage of our film’s journey—post-production, marketing, and distribution.
- Previewed exclusive footage from The Woman’s Rite documentary, which explores women’s wisdom, aging, transformation, and the cultural rites of passage that empower us.
- Offered empowerment photo sessions with the luminous Jennifer Alyse, whose art captured the radiant spirit of those who participated in this element of the fundraiser.
- Held a fun raffle.
And what unfolded was far beyond what we imagined.
This wasn’t just a fundraiser—it was a magical movement moment. A collective affirmation that this film matters. That elder women’s voices, beauty, and contributions matter. And that ritual, beauty, and community matter—especially now.
We raised meaningful funds to help carry the film forward, and we’re deeply grateful to each and every one of you who donated, attended, or held space from afar. If you weren’t able to attend and still wish to support the project: Click here.
Thank you for sharing this journey with us.
Your energy is helping this film take root and rise!
With gratitude and creative joy,
Georgette Star & The Woman’s Rite Team
